Can NCMS guarantee all the checks I receive?

This is another one of those questions NCMS is asked all the time. In most case we can provide a very competitive program. Check Guarantee Programs are insurance. You pay a premium to ensure that you're covered if a problem arises. As with any type of insurance, you must comply with restrictions and requirements so the insured item qualifies for the insurance. With checks, the requirements vary, but normally they include recording a customer’s home and work phone, driver's license number, age, etc. In some industries, more information may be needed, and in others, less. If you don’t record this information, then the item won't qualify for the insurance or "guarantee." So if it’s returned, you have to take the loss even though you paid the premium to insure the check!

Check guarantee programs are not right for all merchants. We offer other solutions that might be a better fit for your business. However, if it's the right fit, a check guarantee service can be a tremendous time saver and give you the predictable outcome you need to run your business.
